Stephanie Brugger is teaching a class on the concept of prayer in daily life. The class is held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm. Please leave your name and phone number in the office if you are interested in taking the class.

Pentecost is May 11. Come see the new altar frontal (the big table cloth piece) made by the children and featuring their hand prints.

The Post Office Food Drive is May 10. We will need volunteers on and off all day from about 10 am to 5 pm. Basically, the letter carriers pick up food along their mail routes. Volunteers are needed in the morning to drive out to the carriers’ mail trucks to pick up the food they have collected and bring the food over to the Post Office. Volunteers are also needed at the Post Office from noonish on to sort the groceries. The food collected is divided (randomly) to the operating food pantries in Piqua. Last but not least, volunteers are needed to put away the groceries in our food pantry. Any amount of time you can help would be welcome and well used.

T-Time, as the Thursday evening program is reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. T-Time meets from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A new St. James Cookbook is in the works - stewing on the back burner one might say. We don't know what it will be yet, but it will be a little different.

Our next "Lunch with God" will be Sunday, April 27 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Please stop by.

Choir meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. If you've always wanted to sing, now is your chance.

Dibora Onisdo is St. James' adopted child. Thank you to Emalee and Olivia for writing to Dibora.

The Evangelism Committee will be offering the St. James Cross (a pin presented to new members) to parishioners based on a donation given to defray costs in the future. Actual cost to St. James is $20.00, the monetary donation will be accepted in any amount from $5.00. The Cross is Vermeil’ (sterling silver mechanically bonded with a gold overlay for a lasting finish). The cross is Botonee’ style, very similar to our cross on the altar and represents the Holy Trinity. The cross is only available upon the anniversary of your Baptism.

OneCall Now—You may have noticed recently that you have received a prerecorded phone call from Fr. Rob with a special message attached. This is a new concept for the church so in the future everyone can be informed with one phone message. If you need or want to listen to the message again, dial 1-877-698-3261 and follow the instructions to retrieve the complete message. Also, be aware that there is a significant pause after Fr. Rob’s lead-in. Do not hang up! The message will follow.
